RIJKS restaurant
RIJKS® treats you to the ‘cuisine of the Low Countries’ with dishes made from authentic Dutch products. Boasting a Michelin star and a listing in the 50 Best Discovery, RIJKS® is a top spot for fine dining.
Our chefs
Joris Bijdendijk has been executive chef since the opening in 2014. With sous-chefs Ivan Beusink and Yascha Oosterberg, Bijdendijk takes his inspiration from Holland's heritage ingredients. He often draws on the wealth of international flavours that have influenced Dutch cooking down the centuries. Also, where the Rijksmuseum regularly loans works to and from other museums, RIJKS® has an active exchange programme with guest chefs from around the world.
RIJKS® has dining down to an art
RIJKS® was awarded a Michelin star in 2016, climbed from 16.5 to 17 points in the 2019 Gault & Millau guide and in the same year earned a spot in the brand-new ranking list by the team behind The World’s 50 Best Restaurants: 50 Best Discovery. In 2021 RIJKS® received Best Chef Awards City Gourmet award.
