We bid farewell to the last visitors of the Vermeer exhibition. With over 650,000 visitors, Vermeer is the most visited exhibition in the history of the Rijksmuseum. Haven't had enough of Vermeer's paintings yet? Six masterpieces by the artist will continue to be on display in the Gallery of Honour at the Rijksmuseum!

The Girl with the Red Hat (National Gallery of Art, Washington) and Young Woman Seated at a Virginal (The Leiden Collection, New York) will continue to stay with us for a little while longer. They will keep the four Vermeer works from the Rijksmuseum company until October 10th.

The Girl with the Red Hat

The Girl with the Red Hat will be on display starting from October 20th in an exhibition at the Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp. In consideration of sustainability, it has been decided that the painting will be directly transported from Amsterdam to Antwerp instead of making round trips to Washington.

Young Woman Seated at a Virginal

Young Woman Seated at a Virginal is part of a private collection, and thanks to the generous owner, we can enrich a cabinet in the Gallery of Honour with this artwork until October 10th. As a result, there will be a total of six Vermeers on display.
