ThiemeMeulenhoff and the Rijksmuseum are working together on new learning solutions both in the museum and in the classroom.

Together we aim to support teachers in primary, secondary and vocational education on topical subjects such as slavery and citizenship. The museum’s treasures are already included in teaching material for history, religious education, art and philosophy. This partnership makes the Rijksmuseum collection directly available in the classroom. For example, we were able to give a magazine to all primary school aged 10 to 12 about Rembrandt’s portraits of Marten and Oopjen. We will also be presenting jointly at the biennial NOT education fair.
