Silgamk'ont'ench'ŭ ch'ehŏmgwan annae: Guide to Immersive Digital Galleries

By

Abstract

"The Immersive Digital Gallery at the National Museum of Korea consists of the 'media façade,' where video is projected directly onto the ten-story stone pagoda of Gyeongcheonsa Temple, along with three other sections where visitors can be immersed in digital contents. These programs were variously created with projection mapping, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and high-resolution technology, depending on the nature of the contents and the dimensions of the respective spaces. In an era when images have become the universal language, the Immersive Digital Gallery will provide both Korean and international visitors with stimulating new museum experiences and a deeper knowledge and appreciation of Korean cultural heritage"-- Page [3].
