Shikun: Nezu Bijutsukan kiyō

Abstract

"The Nezu Museum held the special exhibition Southern Song Celadons in October 2010, presenting examples of celadon traditionally handed down in Japan. In the catalogue titled Heavenly Blue: Southern Song Celadons, exploring how these works were brought to Japan and how they were then sent to different Japanese locales where they were used and preserved. And yet, this catalogue did not have the scope to cover many of the issues related to the production of celadons in China, their study or their import to Japan. We have taken the publication of this Shikun volume 3 as an opportunity to address these issues"-- Preface (page 121).
