Moulding and casting: stucco- and sculpture techniques

Abstract

In the present book, I have focused on the stories of people that I have met at the Academy and on the experiences that I have been a part of at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts over a period of 40 years. I have inserted some examples of my teaching and examples of how I have made use of stucco- and sculpture-methods in my own works, so that they enter into the story as exemplifications of the methods I am describing. And still, what we have, on this account, are but a few selected fragments from many years of activity, which have been pieced together here. There are many who are scared that old-fashioned craftsmanship is in the process of disappearing.
