Abstract

Become immersed in the world of modern life, seen through the eyes of some 40 Dutch and Belgian artists at the beginning of the 20th century. They show you their personal love of color in intimate domestic settings, glowing landscapes, atmospheric cityscapes and scenes from the eccentric nightlife. The selection is composed entirely from private collections and is rarely seen in public. Including work by Piet Mondriaan, Kees van Dongen, Otto van Rees, Jan Sluijters, Leo Gestel, Jo Koster, Willem Paerels and Léon De Smet.
