Komon guraundo no kasseika: Activating common ground

Abstract

"A New Dawn on Common Ground does not simply mark a moment, it reaches across centuries, tracing a history of trade, shared knowledge and shifting perspectives between Japan and the Netherlands. Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan is an opportunity to reflect on this longstanding relationship and explore how ongoing dialogues in technology, culture and daily life continue to inform the ways people collaborate, adapt and create together across borders. This magazine provides an overview of the relationship between Japan and the Netherlands, reflecting on the past and present while looking towards the future, all within the context of the Expo. More than simply documenting participation, it introduces the themes explored during the event and serves as a guide to the Netherlands Pavilion, the ideas behind it, the concepts it represents and the cultural programme that contextualises it"-- On back of cover.
