Abstract

Liaoyang shi you hua xue xian wei gong ye zong gong si [Liaoyang Petrochemical Fiber Industry Corporation], one of the key construction projects launched under China's 43 Plan during the 1970s, became fully operational by the early 1980s. The company began producing fiber raw materials, supporting the modernisation and expansion of the domestic synthetic-fiber sector and broader textile industry. Its development aligned with China's national economic plans, which focussed on the growth of heavy industries, such as petrochemicals, and self-sufficiency.
