Élőhely: Természet-és tájkonstrukciók = Habitat : nature and landscape constructs

Abstract

"The title of the Habitat exhibition held at the Hungarian National Gallery refers to the sensitive relationship between art and the natural environment that serves as our habitat. The exhibition shows how art has responded to changes in the natural environment over the past two hundred years, how the recognition emerged that the concept of nature had changed with the transformation of industrial and agricultural production into large-scale industry, and how the diversity of our relationships with it has appeared in works of fine art. The historical and contemporary works on display at the exhibition depict the history of art as a process in which themes and approaches cyclically reappear again and again. The works that are close to us in time already bear the imprint of technological development, the diversity of 20th-century trends, and give the viewer the opportunity to confront their own position and responsibility in this area of issues that affect the future of our entire human world" -- From https://muzeumshop.com/elohely-habitat-kollekcio?keyword=habitat accessed 02/09/2026
