Det nye Nasjonalmuseet
Abstract
"After many years of waiting, the National Museum opens the doors to the Nordics' largest art museum in the summer of 2022. Older and modern art, contemporary art, architecture, design and handicrafts will find a new home. This book gives a glimpse into how the museum thinks and works today, how and why they collect, conserve and display all these works and ideas. The book contains meetings with artists and various professionals from the museum. Not least, the book takes a new look at the enormous collection the National Museum manages, whether it is well-known masterpieces, new additions or works that have been hidden away in magazines for far too long. The book's editor and main author is Audun Vinger. It also contains texts by Vigdis Hjorth, Lars Mørch Finborud, Bjørn Hatterud and Anja Lauvdal. Richly illustrated book that will please many. The publishing editor is Inger Schjoldager"--Provided by publisher.
