Explanatory note

  • Tiende prent uit een serie bestaand uit twaalf landschappen met dieren. De prenten vormen waarschijnlijk een uitwerking van de tekeningen die Bodmer maakte tijdens een expeditie door Noord-Amerika (1832-1834), onder leiding van prins Maximilian zu Wied-Neuwied.
