Getting started with the collection:
The Scraps Album, Compiled by Johanna Margaretha Piek
Willem Frederik Piek Sr Family, gelatin printing-out papers, 1889-1893
The Amsterdam banker and stockbroker Piek bought a Kodak No. 2 camera and a blank album during one of his business trips to the United States as a gift for his daughter. It is the only preserved Dutch Kodak album. The slogan ‘You press the button, we do the rest’ applied to the Pieks. They also had the very first Kodak.
