Explanatory note

  • Ondanks moderne annotatie met toeschrijving aan Molyn beslist geen Molijn. Waarschijnlijk een kopie naar een verlorengegaan schilderij (of tekening) van Molijn; er zijn een aantal panelen met dit thema, een ervan is gedateerd 1630, de andere twee met vrijwel identieke ruiters zijn gedateerd 1649.
