Explanatory note

  • Portret is niet, zoals op de prent staat, van Hélène Fourment, maar van haar zus Susanna Lunden. Vanaf 1 januari 1837 verscheen elke maand bij de uitgeverij Soetens & Fils een lithografie naar een Nederlandse kunstenaar, onder de naam: Het Pantheon, of de Tempel der onsterfelijkheid voor Neerlands Kunstschilders. Deze prent maakt deel uit van deze serie en is als plaat 22 dus eind 1838 verschenen.
