Explanatory note

  • Deze prent maakt deel uit van een serie van negen schetsen die Chodowiecki maakte in de randen van de koperplaat met illustraties voor de Duitse versie van Mina von Barnhelm (Engelmann 52). Later werden deze schetsen van de koperplaat losgesneden en apart gedrukt. Op deze prent is linksboven nog net het nummer '8' te zien.
