Explanatory note

  • Deze prent is afgesneden van een blad met twee andere stadsgezichten, van Heidelberg en Speyer (RP-P-2018-2044). De prent is vanaf 1574 voorgekomen in Braun en Hogenbergs Bescheibung und Contrafacur der vornembster Stät der Welt en vanaf 1575 in hun Civitates Orbis Terrarum. Daarna heeft Johannes Janssonius de prent uitgegeven in zijn stedenatlas van 1657.
