    : ‘This photo illustrates a Bobbin or Pirn Winding Machine, and is made to wind on to Wood Pirns or Paper Tubes from either Cops or Hanks, and is fitted with Swifts or Racers. The yarn from the Hanks or Cops is drawn at an even tension consequently saving frequent breakages, producing a firm Bobbin which is regularly wound and will come off easy and free.
    Speed: Cops 100 r.p.m.
    Speed: Hanks 90 r.p.m.
    Pulleys: 18" dia. x 3" face.’
