    : ‘This photo illustrates a Double Carder Engine consisting of Scotch Feed, Breast and 2 Swifts with Tape Condenser. This machine is made 60", 66" and 72" wide and contain either more or less Swifts according to the class of material to be Carded. The Cylinders are 45½" or 50" diameter, and the Doffers 30", 36" or 40" diameter.
    These Engines vary so much in detail that it is impossible to give definite weights and measurements, but these will be furnished on request.’
