Waarschijnlijk naar aanleiding van zijn aftreden op 9 augustus 1870. Het tweeregelig Frans onderschrift 'je t'ai saisi, j'ai mis l'écriteau sur ton front; et maintenant la foule accourt et te bafoue'.
