Lesson 4: First light spots
After making the black surface, we will start working with the kneading eraser. We use the charcoal as an eraser and the eraser as a drawing material. You start with the main lines of the portrait. Look through your eyelashes so that you don't see too many details! Where are the lightest places on the work? And how can you use the eraser to apply areas?
Material
Charcoal
Paper, pencil
Knead gum
In this episode we look at Portret van Lizzy Ansingh, Thérèse Schwartze, 1902
