"Since photography's beginnings in the nineteenth century, the medium has constantly evolved--in its purpose, its audiences, its collectors, and especially the technology involved. This publication will explore photography's past and present transformations through thematic groupings drawn from the landmark collection at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
