Lino Tagliapietra: sculptor in glass

Uittreksel

Lino Tagliapietra has been described as the world's greatest glassblower, a figure born from the seven-hundred-year-old culture of Venetian glass, but who revolutionized glass as a discipline in the twentieth century. Even more astonishing, as Tagliapietra hit his full stride, he has become a notable figure in the unfolding story of contemporary sculpture--an artist whose distinctive works are coveted by collectors of abstract art and whose vision makes us think about modern art history in new and profound ways.-- Book jacket.
