Uittreksel
"Hung Jue-Lin, an artist of the preceding generation known as 'the Miner Painter,' had his entire life's work of 41 sketchbooks (1,296 artworks) and 1,426 individual pieces (1,554 artworks) donated by his eldest son Hong Jun-Xiong to the Ministry of Culture. The donated works cover the four major periods of the artist's career, fully demonstrating the artist's personal creative context and great historical significance. Water of Immortality, a piece by Huang Tu-shui that was selected into the 3rd Teiten, has been properly kept by Dr. Zhang Hong-Biao and his family members. In 2021, the artwork finally returned to the collections [of] the Ministry of Culture. Furthermore, the Bust of Teijirō Yamamoto, created by Huang Tu-Shui and formerly stored in Sado City, has been placed under the collections of Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts, through the mutual efforts of both parties in Taiwan and Japan. Three bronze replicas of the Bust were made by the Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts, one of which was then gifted to us. This replica differs from the gypsum Bust of Teijirō Yamamoto that National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts has currently borrow[ed] from Sado City's Mayo District Office in the Huang Tu-Shui's motive of creation, thus featuring different inscriptions by the artist. To complete the whole creative context, our Museum has added both bronze replicas into our collections. The abovementioned artworks are collectively entrusted to the collections of National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts by the Ministry of Culture, with the responsibilities of managing, cleaning, preserving, and maintaining these pieces"-- Preface (page 5).
